What does Dartel install in Manilva and Sotogrande?

Dartel Solutions sells and installs Ajax alarms and cameras with no monthly fee, video intercoms and access control in Manilva, Sabinillas, Puerto de la Duquesa and Sotogrande. If your home here is not lived in all year and is a house used by the season, that changes what the system has to do. Phone and WhatsApp: +34 672 81 57 89.

Sotogrande is already Cádiz: do you go that far?

Yes. The service area we publish in installations is Málaga and the Costa del Sol, from Nerja to Sotogrande, and Manilva is the last municipality in the province of Málaga before the boundary. Sotogrande, Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro and Torreguadiaro already belong to San Roque, in Cádiz, and are on the other side of that administrative boundary: for us it is the same trip and the same equipment, and we treat it that way.

We say it plainly so there is no doubt: a company being in Málaga does not mean it does not work in Sotogrande, and working in Sotogrande does not mean being a registered private security company. We are installers: we sell, fit and maintain the equipment.

What does an apartment in Puerto de la Duquesa or Sabinillas that is used by the season need?

Three things, and none of them is a camera looking into the living room.

That somebody finds out. In a home that stays closed for months, the problem is not the noise of the siren: it is that nobody is listening to it. What works is the alert to your phone, with a photo of what set off the detector, and a second person added to the app who is nearby and can go and look. Without giving them a key to anything.

That it survives the winter. A closed beach apartment has damp, power cuts and, sometimes, the internet line cancelled to avoid paying for it. If remote view depends on that line, you need to know before installing: equipment is chosen that alerts through its own SIM card and not only through the router, and we say what stops working if the power is cut.

That there are no keys going around. In this area it is normal for the cleaner, the administrator and whoever shows the apartment for rent to have a key. Access per person, with a schedule if needed, and a log of who opened: one is cancelled without bothering the others.

The full case of the house that spends seasons alone is in how to protect your home when you leave it empty, and the holiday rental case in which alarm to fit in a holiday rental home.

And a community of apartments: what can be installed in the common area?

The area is full of communities with a pool, communal garage and two accesses. What goes in there —cameras at the vehicle and pedestrian accesses, a video intercom at the entrance, access control in the garage— is not decided by one neighbour: it is decided by the owners’ meeting.

The Horizontal Property Law (Ley 49/1960, art. 17.3, consolidated text in the BOE) requires the favourable vote of three fifths of all the owners who, in turn, represent three fifths of the participation shares in order to establish or remove porter, concierge, surveillance or other common services of general interest. Replacing equipment that already exists is usually treated differently, and who decides that is the building’s administrator, not us. This is practical guidance, not legal advice.

In practice what we ask is that a written, itemised quote is taken to the meeting, so the vote is on a figure and not on an idea. We prepare that. The community approach, with what can be recorded and what cannot, is in cameras, alarms and access control for communities.

How many home burglaries are reported in the province of Málaga?

According to the Crime Balance of the Ministry of the Interior (January–December 2025, reported by Málaga Actualidad and Andalucía Información), 2,408 burglaries with force in homes were reported in the province of Málaga in 2025, compared with 3,163 in 2024: 23.9% fewer. Across Spain they fell from 81,094 to 74,353 (−8.3%). These are reported crimes, not all that occurred, and 2,408 a year is still more than six homes a day in the province. It is a provincial figure —Manilva is in it, Sotogrande is not, because it is Cádiz— and it helps put the risk in perspective, not to decide what your home needs, which is decided by looking at where people really get in.

Can you have an alarm in Manilva with no monthly fee?

Yes, and that is what we install. The Ajax alarms are bought: the equipment is yours from day one, with no compulsory fee, no lock-in and no penalty for leaving. The alerts reach your phone —and the phones of whoever you add— through the manufacturer’s app, and we charge nothing for that.

The pay-so-much-a-month model is something else: there the equipment usually stays the company’s and what you pay for is the connection to a centre, which can only be provided by a registered private security company (National Private Security Register), and that is not our case. The comparison is in alarm with an alarm receiving centre or phone alert.

What we do not do, said before you ask. Dartel Solutions is not a private security company registered in the National Private Security Register, and we do not pretend to be. We sell, install and maintain the equipment. Monitored surveillance —where an operator receives the alert and calls the police on your behalf— is a regulated activity that only a registered company may provide: we neither provide nor resell it. If your case needs it, we tell you in the first conversation instead of selling you something else.

How we work, step by step

  1. You write to us and tell us what you want to protect. By WhatsApp or by phone. With the floor plan and four photos we can already start to advise.
  2. We come and see it if the job calls for it. A professional visit with a prior quote, which is deducted if you award us the job. We measure, look at where people really get in and check the network coverage.
  3. We send you an itemised quote. Equipment on one side and labour on the other, with a plan of what each camera sees. No obligation and no hidden fees.
  4. Timings given in advance. A normal home installation is done in a day; if cable has to be run or several buildings are involved, we tell you before, not after.
  5. We leave it explained and working. The app on your phone and on the phone of whoever you choose, tested in front of you. And we stay reachable: the phone number is the same.

How much does it cost to install an alarm in Manilva or Sotogrande?

Dartel Solutions does not publish the price of an installation on this page, and that is deliberate. Two homes that look the same do not cost the same: the number of openings to protect changes, whether outdoor detection is needed, the height a camera has to go up to and whether the home’s line holds up. A shop-window price would be given today and corrected on the visit. What it depends on, with the items broken down, is in the guide to what it costs to install an alarm; and if you prefer to see equipment and price before talking to anyone, it is in the shop.

Manilva and Sotogrande FAQ

Do you install in Sotogrande, which is in the province of Cádiz?

Yes. The service area we publish is Málaga and the Costa del Sol, from Nerja to Sotogrande: Sotogrande, Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro and Torreguadiaro belong to San Roque (Cádiz) and lie at the western end of that strip. Manilva is the last municipality in the province of Málaga before the boundary.

I use the apartment two months a year. Is an alarm any use to me?

Yes. What matters is not the siren, it is that the alert arrives: it reaches your phone wherever you are, with a photo of what set off the detector, and you can add to the app a trusted person nearby without giving them a key to anything.

I cancel the internet when I am not there. Does it work the same?

The alarm does, if the equipment alerts through its own SIM card and not only through the router; we tell you before installing. The cameras do not: to see the home remotely the line has to stay contracted and up. If you intend to cancel it, the system is set up differently.

The cleaner and the administrator have a key. Is there an alternative?

Yes: independent access per person, with a schedule if needed, and a log of who opened and at what time. One person is cancelled in a minute and no lock has to be changed.

We are a community of apartments. What majority is needed?

To establish or remove a common service, the Horizontal Property Law (Ley 49/1960, art. 17.3) requires three fifths of owners and of shares. Replacing equipment that already exists is usually treated differently, and who decides that is the building’s administrator. We prepare the itemised quote so the vote is on a figure.

Can I have an alarm in Manilva with no monthly fee?

Yes. The Ajax alarms we install are bought: the equipment is yours, with no compulsory fee or lock-in, and alerts go to your phone through the manufacturer’s app. What it does not include —and we will not sell it to you— is an operator receiving the alert and calling the police for you: that is a regulated activity that can only be provided by a registered private security company (National Private Security Register).

Do you sell the equipment or only install?

Both. You can buy the equipment in our shop and hire us only for the fitting, or have us do the whole job. If the equipment is bought in the shop, the installation gets 10% off the quote, under the conditions published on the installation page.
