Can I have an alarm in Marbella with no monthly fee?
Yes: you can have an alarm in Marbella without paying a monthly fee, and that is what Dartel Solutions installs. The Ajax alarms we install are bought: the equipment is yours from day one, like an appliance. There is no compulsory monthly fee, no lock-in and no penalty for leaving. The alerts reach your phone, and the phones of whoever you add, through the manufacturer’s app, and we charge nothing for that.
That is different from the model you will have seen advertised at so much a month: there the equipment usually stays the company’s and what you pay for is the connection to a centre that only a registered private security company may provide, which is not our case. They are two different things and both are legitimate; what is not legitimate is mixing them in the same advert. We do the first one.
What we do not do, said before you ask. Dartel Solutions is not a private security company registered in Spain’s National Register of Private Security, and we do not pretend to be. We sell, install and maintain the equipment. Monitored alarm response, where an operator receives the alert and calls the police on your behalf, is a regulated activity that only a registered company may provide: we neither provide nor resell it. How much does it cost to install an alarm in Marbella?
Dartel Solutions does not publish the price of an installation in Marbella on this page, and that is deliberate. Two installations that look the same do not cost the same: the number of openings to protect changes, whether cable has to be run or everything is wireless, the height a camera has to go up to and whether the network holds up or has to be reinforced first. How many home burglaries are reported in the province of Málaga?
According to the Ministry of the Interior’s crime statistics (Balance de Criminalidad, January to December 2025, as reported by Málaga Actualidad and Andalucía Información), 2,408 burglaries with forced entry into homes were reported in Málaga province in 2025, down from 3,163 in 2024: 23.9% fewer. Across Spain they fell from 81,094 to 74,353 (−8.3%). These are reported crimes, not every crime that happened, and 2,408 a year is still more than six homes a day in the province. It is a provincial figure: it puts the risk in perspective, but it does not decide how many cameras your plot needs, which is decided by looking at where people really get in.
