What it is and what it does
This is an alarm kit with visual verification. It has the Hub 2, a MotionCam HDR detector that sends photos when it triggers, a magnetic contact and a remote. The hub alerts over Ethernet and two 4G SIMs (LTE), with 868 MHz Jeweller radio and AES-encrypted Wings and a range of up to 2 km in open space. It is Grade 2 and detects attempts to jam the signal.

It is the kit for the second home, the house that is closed up for a season or the weekend villa, and for the country estate with marginal coverage. In a central flat with stable fibre and people inside all year round, the white Ajax Hub alarm kit is enough, simpler and without a photo.
How we install it
The hub goes indoors on its SmartBracket mount with rear tamper, near mains power and with the two SIMs with the PIN disabled, away from metal cabinets and more than a metre from the router. The photo detector is hung facing the route people must take, not a window. We add each piece by QR code and run the zone test and the signal strength test.
