What it is and what it does
This is the right kit for a normal home: the Hub 2, a PIRCAM MotionCam HDR photo detector, a magnetic contact and a remote. The hub alerts over Ethernet and two 2G SIMs, and is Grade 2. When the photo detector triggers, photos reach the app over the Wings channel, so you decide with information. It accepts up to 100 devices and its radio reaches up to 1300 m in open space.

It is for a flat or a house of normal size where you want to see what set the alarm off before sending anyone. With dark walls, the Ajax Hub 2 extended alarm kit, black. If the house is large, has outbuildings or will grow, look at the Ajax Hub 2 Plus alarm kit with MotionCam HDR, white.
How we install it
The hub is screwed indoors to its SmartBracket mount, whose rear tamper warns you if it is torn off, with mains power alongside, the network socket if a cable is used and the two SIMs with the PIN removed. The photo detector goes at the height Ajax specifies, across the route people must take and never facing a window or a radiator. We add each piece by QR code and finish with the zone test and the signal test.

Do the photos arrive in the same alert?
Yes: when the MotionCam HDR triggers, the images travel over the Wings channel to the app. It lets you decide with information instead of rushing out on a blind alert.
How many sirens and keypads does the hub accept?
Up to 100 devices in total, with a cap of 10 between sirens and wireless touch keypads. In a normal home that limit is never reached.
