Tag key fob, black

Black access key fob: hold it to the keypad to disarm, with no battery or code and a record of who comes in

What it is and what it does

The black Tag is the Ajax access key fob in a dark finish. It works by Mifare DESFire RFID and disarms the system when held to the keypad. It has no battery, so there is nothing to replace. It is identified separately in the app. It accepts up to 50 key fobs with Hub 2, 99 with Hub Plus and 200 with Hub 2 Plus, and can be linked to up to 13 hubs. It weighs 7 g and works between -10 and 40 degrees.

Who Dartel installs it for

We choose it for a home or business with several people: one each, with no shared codes. If the team is mixed, combine the black with the white Tag to hand them out at a glance. It is a companion to the keypad, it does not arm from a distance: for that there is the SpaceControl remote.

How we install it

We add it to the hub with its owner's name, one by one, so that the app's history shows who disarmed. We test each key fob on the keypad before handing it over. If a person stops coming, we remove their key fob from the app without touching the rest.

Frequently asked questions

What keypad do I need?

One that reads Tag, such as the Ajax KeyPad Plus. If your keypad does not, tell us before buying, because the key fob on its own opens nothing.

Can it arm or disarm from the street?

No. It has to be held to the keypad. To arm and disarm from a distance there is the SpaceControl Superior remote, with four buttons and a range of up to 1300 m in open space.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
