CombiProtect motion and glass break detector, black
Dual detector in black: PIR and glass break microphone in one unit, for windows with dark joinery.
What it is and what it does
This detector does two jobs: a volumetric PIR with a 24-zone, 6-plane lens watches for movement at 12 m with 88.5° horizontally, and a microphone sensor listens for glass breaking at 9 m with 180°. So it alerts whether someone crosses the room or a pane is smashed, even if they do not get in. It has sensitivity in three levels, ignores pets up to 20 kg and runs on a CR123A battery.
Who Dartel installs it for
We recommend it in homes and shops with windows in dark joinery or wooden walls, where white would stand out. For light walls there is the white CombiProtect. The difference from the CombiProtect Superior, black is the range: the latter adds a stated Grade 2, a fixing mount and a wider list of compatible panels.
How we install it
It goes at 2.4 m, where the lens spreads well, in the room with the glass and with the route in view from the side. No thick curtains or tall furniture in front, and never above a radiator. We add it by QR code, assign it to its group and do the zone test by walking the room and the signal test.

Frequently asked questions
Does the microphone trigger on normal noises?
It is designed to recognise the sound of glass breaking, not a conversation or the television. Even so, we check it in the home and adjust the sensitivity, which has three levels.
What if I am only interested in movement?
Then a MotionProtect is enough, which does not include the glass part. The CombiProtect pays off in homes with lots of large windows, where an intruder can break in and take something without crossing the room.
