Grade 3 photo detector from the Superior range in black: HD camera, 15 m field, infrared backlight and remote updates.
What it is and what it does
This black Grade 3 photo detector watches 15 m with 90° horizontally and 71° vertically, and recognises walking speeds from 0.1 to 4.0 m/s. The HD camera and infrared backlight allow night photos, and HDR improves detail in bright and dark scenes. It supports remote firmware updates. It is powered by four CR123A batteries, measures 140 by 64 by 66.6 mm and has IP30 and IK04 protection.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it for anyone with a shop or a villa with dark walls, wooden joinery or coloured cladding who needs Grade 3. The same photo detector exists in white. It does not ignore pets, so if animals roam loose, the alternative is the MotionCam HD PhOD Superior, black, which is Grade 2. For breaking glass, the CombiProtect Superior.
How we install it
It is hung at 2.4 m, the height recommended on its datasheet, on the SmartBracket, and locked with a screw. It looks across the route and avoids windows, fireplaces and radiators. It is added by QR code in the app and the zone and signal are checked. The image request permissions are set by the end customer, with us beside them.

Frequently asked questions
Does it update itself?
It supports remote firmware updates, over the air, without having to take it off the wall. We handle it from the app when Ajax releases a new version.
Why does it take four batteries?
It is what its electronics need, with a camera and long-range radio: four 3.0 V CR123A batteries. They are changed by opening the casing, and the tamper alerts when it is opened.
