DomeCam Mini 5 MP 4 mm camera, black

Black 5 MP DomeCam Mini with a 4 mm lens: an outdoor ceiling dome with 15 m infrared, powered over a PoE cable

What it is and what it does

The black DomeCam Mini 5 MP 4 mm is a small outdoor dome with 5 megapixels (2880×1620). Its 4 mm lens is narrower than the 2.8 mm one: it sees a little further, with an angle of 100° to 110°. The infrared reaches 15 m, it has True WDR/HDR and a microSD slot for cards of up to 256 GB. It is powered by PoE over a network cable.

Who Dartel installs it for

It is for doorways, corridors, garages and covered areas where people pass at some distance from the ceiling and you want a little more reach than with 2.8 mm. It is not for open ground. If you need white light at night, choose the black DomeCam Mini 5 MP Dual Light; if you need more resolution, the black DomeCam Mini 8 MP.

How we install it

We run a PoE network cable from the recorder or the switch to the dome, which receives both data and power through it. We fix it to the ceiling at the point where the face is in frame, out of reach of the hand and out of direct sun. Then we add it by reading its QR code in the app and check the framing.

Frequently asked questions

How far does it reach at night?

Its infrared reaches 15 m. It is designed for nearby spaces such as a garage or a corridor; for long distances there are 50 m turret cameras, which we fit on a facade or on a pole.

Can I watch it from my phone?

Yes. It is an Ajax IP camera and, once connected to the recorder, you see it in the same app as your alarm. We leave it set up so that you can open the video from your phone.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
