What it is and what it does
The black DomeCam Mini 8 MP Dual Light is a small 8 megapixel (3840×2160) dome with a 110° horizontal angle. It switches between 15 m infrared, in black and white, and 15 m white light, in colour. Its artificial intelligence recognises people, pets and vehicles. It has a microphone, True WDR/HDR, mTLS encryption and microSD support of up to 256 GB, and works from −30 °C to +60 °C.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it in entrance halls, garages, porches and premises with wooden, iron or dark-painted ceilings, where a black dome almost disappears. On light surfaces, choose the white DomeCam Mini 8 MP Dual Light. To see a little further, there is the black DomeCam Mini 8 MP 4 mm Dual Light, and without white light, the black DomeCam Mini 8 MP.
How we install it
A PoE network cable carries power and data from the recorder or the switch to the dome. We fix it on a solid surface so that it cannot be reached by hand but shows the face rather than the top of the head, and we avoid direct sun on it. Then we add it to the app by QR code and check the framing at night.

Frequently asked questions
What is the advantage of the dome cover?
It protects the lens and cannot be turned with a swipe of the hand, as an adjustable camera can. It also sits tighter against the ceiling, which makes it less visible.
What does the image look like at night?
With infrared the image is black and white up to 15 m; with white light, it is in colour at the same distance. We test both modes during the installation and leave the one that suits the place best.
