What it is and what it does
The black DomeCam Mini 8 MP 4 mm Dual Light is an 8 megapixel (3840×2160) outdoor dome with a 4 mm lens. That lens is narrower than the 2.8 mm one: it covers 85° horizontally and sees further. At night it offers 15 m infrared or 15 m white light. It takes microSD cards of up to 256 GB and is powered by PoE over a network cable.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it for customers who need to watch one particular access point, such as a garage door or a vehicle entrance, from a little further away than with a 2.8 mm dome. It covers an access point, not an open expanse. Without white light or 4 mm, choose the black DomeCam Mini 8 MP; on light walls, the white DomeCam Mini 8 MP Dual Light.
How we install it
We run a PoE network cable from the recorder or the switch to the dome, which receives its power through it. We fix it at a height that shows the face at the entrance and is out of reach, facing away from direct sun. We add it to the app by QR code, test the night light and adjust the framing.
