DoorProtect magnetic contact, black
Wireless magnetic contact in black: alerts when dark doors and windows are opened, with an input for a wired sensor.
What it is and what it does
This black DoorProtect alerts as soon as the door or window it is mounted on is opened. It works with a reed relay, which notices when the magnet moves away. It is Grade 2, communicates by Jeweller at 868 MHz with up to 1200 m in open space and has an anti-sabotage tamper, alarm, tamper and signal LEDs and a CR123A battery. It also has an input for a third-party wired normally closed contact detector.
Who Dartel installs it for
We recommend it on doors and windows with dark or wooden frames, where the white would be seen. With light frames, the white DoorProtect, which is the one in our kits. If you want it to alert on knocks on the sash or tilt, the DoorProtect Plus, black. For glass, the GlassProtect.
How we install it
Indoors and with no building work, with the transmitter and the magnet facing each other at the edge of the door or window. We add it by QR code from the app, assign it to its group and measure the signal to the panel. If you are going to use the input for a wired detector, we connect it and check that it triggers.

Frequently asked questions
Does it sound if someone hits the window without opening it?
No. Its reed relay only notices that the sash separates from the frame. If you want it to alert on knocks or tilt, you need the DoorProtect Plus, which also detects vibration.
Can I connect another sensor to it?
Yes, it has an input for third-party wired detectors with a normally closed contact. We assess it at the installation, because not all wired sensors are compatible.
