DoorProtect magnetic contact, white

Wireless magnetic contact in white: alerts as soon as a door or window is opened, and is part of the three Dartel alarm kits.

What it is and what it does

The DoorProtect is Ajax's basic magnetic contact: a transmitter and a magnet that alert as soon as they separate, that is, when the door or window is opened. It is Grade 2, talks to the panel by Jeweller radio with up to 1200 m in open space and has alarm, tamper and signal LEDs. It runs on a CR123A battery. It does not detect vibration or tilt, only opening.

Who Dartel installs it for

We install it on the front door, ground-floor windows and terrace sliding doors in flats, houses and shops with light frames. It is part of the three Dartel alarm kits. With dark frames, the black DoorProtect. If you want alerts for knocks on the sash or tilt, the variant is the DoorProtect Plus.

How we install it

No cables or building work: the transmitter goes on the frame and the magnet on the sash, facing each other at the edge. We add it by reading the QR code in the app, assign it to the arming group and check that the signal reaches the panel. We open and close the sash several times to check that the alert goes off.

Frequently asked questions

How far from the panel can it be?

Up to 1200 m in open space according to its datasheet. Inside a home it drops, with walls and floor slabs, so we measure the signal at each door or window before fixing it.

Does it alert if the glass is broken or the window is hit?

No. It only alerts on opening. For knocks on the sash and for tilt, the DoorProtect Plus; for the sound of glass, a glass break detector such as the GlassProtect.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
