Glass break detector by sound: 9 m and 180° are enough to watch all the glass in a room.
What it is and what it does
The GlassProtect is a glass break detector that works by sound. Its electret microphone covers 9 m with 180° aperture and alerts the moment a pane breaks. It does not detect movement: it does not know whether anyone is inside. It is Grade 2, indoor, with sensitivity in three levels, alarm, tamper and signal LEDs, Jeweller radio up to 1000 m and a CR123A battery. Its body is cylindrical, in ABS plastic.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in living rooms and dining rooms with large windows in flats, houses and shops, when you want to be alerted to the impact without needing to detect movement. If you also want movement, the CombiProtect Superior combines both jobs; if you only want to watch an opening with the home occupied, the CurtainProtect. It only comes in black.
How we install it
It goes indoors, on a wall or ceiling and facing the glass, with no building work or cables. We add it by QR code from the app and assign it to its group. We measure the signal strength to the panel and adjust the sensitivity level that suits that room, testing before we leave.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need one on every window?
No. It covers 9 m with a 180° aperture, so one well placed looks after all the glass in the same room. If there is another room with large windows, you will need another.
Does it alert if someone comes in through a door with no glass?
No: it only reacts to the sound of breaking glass. To watch movement or doors we combine it with a MotionProtect or with DoorProtect magnetic contacts.
