FireProtect 2 AC heat and CO detector, white

Mains-powered heat and carbon monoxide detector, with a backup battery, an 85 dB siren and two tampers.

What it is and what it does

The white FireProtect 2 AC watches for heat and carbon monoxide. It detects a rise of more than 10 °C in a minute or less, the +64 °C threshold and excess CO. Unlike the battery-powered ones, it is powered from the 110 to 240 V mains and has a non-replaceable backup battery. It has an 85 dB siren and two anti-sabotage tampers.

Who Dartel installs it for

We install it in homes and shops where we want to forget about batteries and there is a power socket to hand: a boiler room, a workshop or a garage. The letters AC mean mains power. If you prefer one without a power cable, look at the FireProtect 2 SB, black heat and CO detector, or the battery-powered smoke, heat and CO one.

How we install it

As it is mains-powered, we place it next to the planned power supply and fix it indoors. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot. We place it away from windows and radiators, and test the siren with the Test button before we leave.

Frequently asked questions

Does it detect smoke?

No. This model detects CO, a rapid temperature rise and a +64 °C threshold. For smoke, you need to add a smoke detector, or choose the FireProtect 2 smoke, heat and CO.

What happens if the power goes out?

It has a backup battery that keeps it working. It is not replaceable, so if you want batteries that you can change yourself, an RB version suits you better.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
