FireProtect 2 SB heat detector, white

White rate-of-rise heat detector with built-in batteries and an 85 dB siren, for kitchens, garages and spaces with habitual smoke.

What it is and what it does

The white FireProtect 2 SB is an indoor heat detector. It alerts on a rapid rise in temperature and on reaching the +64 °C threshold. It has an 85 dB siren, works linked to the panel or on its own and is silenced from the Test button or the app. Its lithium batteries are built in: they are not changed, and are designed for a very long life.

Who Dartel installs it for

We install it where we do not want to open the detector again or climb up to change batteries: a high garage, a storage room or a shop kitchen. The letters SB mean sealed battery; with replaceable batteries there is the FireProtect 2 RB, black. This is the white one, for light ceilings and walls. Where smoke is habitual, it is best combined with a smoke detector.

How we install it

We screw it to the ceiling, with no building work. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot. We place it away from windows and radiators, and at the end we test the siren with the Test button. As it has no batteries to change, it stays in place and you forget about it.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when the battery runs out?

The batteries are sealed and cannot be replaced. They are long-life and, when they run out, in this version the whole unit is replaced. We explain this before you choose it.

Can it be heard throughout the house?

It has its own 85 dB siren, which sounds on the spot. It also alerts your mobile through the panel. If in a large house you need more alert points, we raise it on the visit.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
