What it is and what it does
The FireProtect 2 RB CO detector, in white, detects excess carbon monoxide with a chemical sensor. It has an 85 dB siren, works linked to the panel or as a standalone detector and is silenced from the Test button or the app. It uses two replaceable, long-life CR123A batteries, and its radio range is 1700 m in open space.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in flats and houses with a boiler, heater or fireplace, next to the bedroom or the living area. The white one looks good on light walls and ceilings. The letters RB mean replaceable battery; with a sealed battery there is the FireProtect 2 SB, black CO detector. If you need smoke and heat, look at the smoke, heat and CO one.
How we install it
We fix it indoors, with no building work. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot. We place it away from windows and radiators. We test the siren with the Test button before we leave and explain how the batteries are changed.
