Black carbon monoxide detector with built-in batteries, an 85 dB siren and long-range Jeweller radio.
What it is and what it does
The FireProtect 2 SB CO detector, in black, detects carbon monoxide only. It uses a chemical sensor and alerts on excess CO with its own 85 dB siren, a light and a notification to your mobile. It works linked to the panel or on its own. Its lithium batteries are built in, long-life, and the Jeweller radio reaches 1700 m in open space.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in homes with a boiler, heater or brazier, in rooms next to the boiler room and in shops with combustion appliances. We choose it in black when the ceiling or wall is dark. If you also need smoke and heat, the FireProtect 2 SB, black smoke, heat and CO detector brings it all together.
How we install it
We fix it indoors, with no building work. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot. We place it away from windows and radiators. Before leaving we test the siren with the Test button and show you how to silence the alarm from the app.

Frequently asked questions
Does it detect smoke or fire?
No. This model only detects excess carbon monoxide. For smoke and heat, you need to add a FireProtect smoke detector, or choose a model that brings it all together.
What is the difference from the RB version?
The SB has built-in lithium batteries, which are not changed. The RB uses replaceable CR123A batteries. Both detect the same thing; what changes is how you want to deal with the power.
