What it is and what it does
The FireProtect 2 SB heat and CO detector, in black, watches for carbon monoxide and heat. It alerts on excess CO, on a rapid temperature rise and on exceeding the +64 °C threshold. It has an 85 dB siren, built-in long-life lithium batteries and a radio range of 1700 m in open space. It does not detect smoke.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in boiler rooms, shop kitchens, garages or storage rooms, where everyday smoke would cause false alerts but carbon monoxide and heat do matter. The black one is for dark ceilings and walls. If you also want smoke, look at the FireProtect 2 SB, black smoke, heat and CO detector.
How we install it
We screw it to the ceiling of the space to be protected, indoors and with no building work. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot. We place it away from windows and radiators. We test the siren with the Test button before we leave.

Frequently asked questions
Why does it not have a smoke sensor?
Because it is designed for places where ordinary smoke would give false alerts and what matters is carbon monoxide and heat. In the rest of the home it is complemented by a smoke detector.
Do the batteries have to be changed?
No. Its lithium batteries are built in and long-life according to the datasheet. If you prefer batteries that can be changed, there is the RB version.
