What it is and what it does
The white LeaksProtect is a water leak detector that sits on the floor. As soon as water touches its contacts, it alerts your mobile through the panel. It is wireless, with 868 MHz Jeweller radio and 1000 m range in open space, IP65 protection and two AAA batteries. It measures 60 by 60 mm and is 14 mm high, so it fits under almost any appliance.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it under dishwashers and washing machines, next to boilers and water heaters, in flats, houses and second homes that spend time empty, and it is part of the alarm kits for a flat and a villa. The white one disappears on a light floor. If the floor is dark, there is the LeaksProtect, black. It detects and alerts, but does not shut off the water.
How we install it
We place it on the floor, at the point where water would arrive first, with no building work or cables. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot. If an appliance is moved, the detector moves with it.

Does it shut off the water when it detects a leak?
No: it detects and alerts your mobile. If you also want the valve to close, a solenoid valve can be added. Tell us your case and we will say how it is fitted.
Does it withstand getting wet?
Yes. It has IP65 protection, so the detector itself withstands the water it is detecting. It communicates with the panel by radio, with no cable to get wet.
