FireProtect smoke detector, black
Indoor smoke and heat detector with its own 85 dB siren: it sounds in the room and alerts your mobile. It does not detect carbon monoxide.
What it is and what it does
The black FireProtect is an indoor smoke and heat detector. It combines a photoelectric sensor with a thermal, rate-of-rise one, so it reacts to smoke, to a rapid rise in temperature and to the +59 °C threshold. It has its own 85 dB siren, a warning light and a false alarm filter. It talks to the panel by Jeweller radio and can also work on its own, with no panel. It does not detect carbon monoxide.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in kitchens, bedroom corridors and boiler rooms in flats, houses and shops. This is the black one: it suits dark ceilings or beams, where a white one would show up as a circle. If you also want to monitor carbon monoxide, the variant is the FireProtect Plus, black. When there are several in the home, they are interconnected and sound at the same time.
How we install it
We screw it to the ceiling, indoors and with no building work. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to its group and check the signal from the exact spot where it goes. We place it away from windows and radiators, and test the siren with the Test button before we leave. If there are several smoke detectors, we leave them interconnected so they sound together.

Does it detect carbon monoxide from a boiler?
No. This model detects smoke, a rapid temperature rise and a +59 °C threshold. For carbon monoxide there is the FireProtect Plus, which adds the CO sensor. We tell you which suits you depending on where your boiler is.
Can it be silenced without climbing on a chair?
Yes. The alarm is silenced from the Ajax app, as well as with the detector's own Test and Silence button. It also has a false alarm filter, to avoid unnecessary alerts.
