What it is and what it does
The white HomeSiren Superior is the siren that sounds inside the home when the alarm goes off. It talks to the hub over 868 MHz Jeweller radio, so no cable needs to be run to it. It sounds between 81 and 105 dB at one metre, and you decide how long the sound lasts, from 3 seconds to 3 minutes. It has a rear tamper: if it is pulled off the wall, the system knows. It is Grade 2 and runs on two CR123A batteries.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it in flats, houses and premises where you want the alarm to be heard inside and noticed. White suits light ceilings and walls. If the finishes are dark, there is the black HomeSiren Superior. It is no use for the facade: it is for indoors, and outside goes the StreetSiren. If you want a single unit with keypad and siren, look at the KeyPad Combi.
How we install it
We hang it high and in plain sight, at a point where the sound fills the house but cannot be reached with a jump to cover it. It is held on its SmartBracket mount with the fixing screw. We add it by reading its QR code in the Ajax app and check the signal before we leave. With the house empty we adjust the volume and duration, also thinking of the neighbours.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put it on the porch or the facade?
No. Its protection is IP50 and it is designed for indoors. For outside we would fit a StreetSiren, which withstands the weather, and keep this one inside the home.
How long does it sound for, and can I change it?
Yes. The duration can be set between 3 seconds and 3 minutes from the app. We leave it set during the installation, and you can change it whenever you like without touching the siren.
