What it is and what it does
The black Hub 2 is the panel for when the home cannot be left silent. Besides the network cable it has two 2G SIM cards, so if the router goes down the alert goes out over the mobile network. It supports up to 100 devices, 50 users and 25 IP cameras or recorder channels, with 868 MHz Jeweller radio, an anti-opening tamper and a backup battery of up to 16 hours.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in offices and homes with dark decor, or inside a rack or a closed cabinet, where the white box would stand out. With light walls, the Ajax Hub 2 alarm panel, white is the same panel. How we install it
It goes indoors on its SmartBracket mount with a rear tamper. We hang it where the radio reaches everything, away from metal cabinets and more than a metre from the router, with power nearby and both SIMs with the PIN disabled. We add each device by scanning its QR code from the app and check the signal detector by detector before we leave.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from the first-generation Hub?
It is not in the detectors, which are the same, but in the alerts and video: the Hub 2 adds two SIMs to the cable and supports 25 IP cameras or recorder channels, against the Hub's 10.
And if the radio does not reach one area of a large house?
It is solved with a signal repeater. We measure it on site when checking the signal of each device, before deciding where to fix the panel.
