Ajax Hub 2 DC 6 V alarm panel, white

White Ajax Hub 2 panel that runs on 4.2 to 10 V direct current, for cabinets where there is no mains socket

What it is and what it does

It is a full Hub 2, but it does not plug into the mains: it is powered by 4.2 to 10 V direct current. It has Ethernet and two 2G SIMs, 868 MHz radio with Jeweller and Wings, an anti-opening tamper and remote firmware updates. It supports up to 100 devices, 50 users and 25 IP cameras or recorder channels, like the Hub 2 that plugs into the mains.

Who Dartel installs it for

It is for a panel board with its own DC supply, an installation powered by battery or solar panel, or a cabinet where there is no socket and never will be. With a normal socket the logical choice is the Ajax Hub 2 alarm panel, white; if you need 4G instead of 2G, the Ajax Hub 2 4G alarm panel, black.

How we install it

The work starts before hanging it: we have to work out where that direct current comes from and check that the supply handles the consumption with some margin. Then it goes indoors on its SmartBracket with a rear tamper, with both SIMs with the PIN removed, away from metal cabinets and more than a metre from the router. We add each device by QR code and check the signal one by one.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be plugged into the ordinary mains?

No: it is designed for 4.2 to 10 V direct current. If there is a normal socket at the site, we install the standard version, which is powered from the mains.

Does it have the same capacity as the normal Hub 2?

Yes: up to 100 devices, 50 users and 25 IP cameras or recorder channels, with Ethernet and two 2G SIMs. The only thing that changes is how it is powered.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
