What it is and what it does
The Hub 2 is the brain of the alarm: Ajax detectors, sirens and keypads talk to it by 868 MHz radio and it alerts your mobile. It supports up to 100 devices, 50 users and 25 IP cameras or recorder channels, and communicates by Ethernet and over two 2G SIM cards, so if the line is cut it still alerts you. What gets used most day to day are the arming groups: protecting the ground floor while you sleep upstairs.
Who Dartel installs it for
It is the panel Dartel fits by default in a flat, a house or a normal-sized shop, and it is part of our alarm kits for a flat, for a villa and for a shop or business. If you will hang more than 100 devices, the next step up is the Ajax Hub 2 Plus alarm panel, black; if the area has poor coverage, the Ajax Hub 2 4G alarm panel, black.
How we install it
We screw it inside the home to its SmartBracket mount, which has a rear tamper and alerts you if it is pulled off, with power next to it, the network socket if the cable is used and both SIMs with the PIN removed. We place it away from metal cabinets and more than a metre from the router. Then we add each device by QR code from the app, set up the arming groups with your family and check the signal.

Frequently asked questions
Can I arm just part of the house?
Yes. The datasheet states up to 9 arming groups: for example, the ground floor while you sleep upstairs, or the garage with the family inside. We set them up with you at the installation.
Can I see cameras in the same app as the alarm?
Yes. The Hub 2 supports up to 25 IP cameras or recorder channels, and they are seen in the same app as the alarm. If you need more, the next step up is the Plus version.
