MotionProtect Plus motion detector, black
Dual-technology motion detector: infrared and microwave must both agree to raise the alarm, designed for areas with false alarms.
What it is and what it does
The MotionProtect Plus combines a volumetric PIR sensor with a microwave sensor, and only raises the alarm when both detect movement. That reduces false alarms in difficult rooms. It covers 12 m with 88.5° horizontally and 80° vertically, with a 24-zone, 6-plane lens, and ignores pets up to 20 kg and 50 cm. It is Grade 2, indoor, with sensitivity in three levels, and runs on a CR123A battery.
Who Dartel installs it for
We put it where a normal detector fails: a sunny kitchen, a room with draughts or a shop with heaters. Unlike the black MotionProtect, which uses infrared only and reaches a radio range of 1700 m, this one adds microwave and states 1200 m. If you also want photos of what happened, the option is the MotionCam HDR.
How we install it
We hang it at 2.4 m, the installation height on its datasheet, looking across the route and away from windows and radiators. It is added by scanning its QR code in the app and assigned to its group. On this model we insist on the zone test, walking the room at different speeds, and on measuring the signal to the panel.

When is it worth it compared with the MotionProtect?
When the site has given trouble with a normal detector. Because it requires the infrared and the microwave to agree, the alert only arrives if both see movement. For a straightforward hallway the MotionProtect is enough.
Is it fine with pets?
Yes, just like the MotionProtect: it has immunity to pets up to 20 kg and 50 cm. Even so, when installing it we make sure the animal cannot climb onto a piece of furniture within the detection field.
