What it is and what it does
The Ajax Superior 16-channel PoE NVR recorder with AI has 16 built-in PoE ports: it powers and connects the cameras without a separate switch. It accepts ONVIF and RTSP cameras up to 12 MP and detects objects using artificial intelligence. It outputs video over HDMI up to 3840 × 2160. It takes two 3.5 inch SATA disks of up to 24 TB each, which are not included.

We fit it in large projects that need more headroom: a villa with many cameras, a small building or a business with several areas. It is the model for customers who want AI object detection in the recorder itself. If you do not need it and recording is enough, we look at the white Ajax 16-channel PoE NVR recorder.
How we install it
It goes indoors, somewhere ventilated and not very visible, with a socket nearby. We run a network cable from each camera to one of its PoE ports, so the cameras do not need separate power. We fit the disks, add the unit to the app and check the image from each camera before we leave.

Do I need a separate PoE switch?
No. The 16 PoE ports are on the recorder itself, which powers and connects the cameras. Each camera needs only one network cable to it.
How much disk does it take?
Two 3.5 inch SATA disks of up to 24 TB each. They are not included: they are chosen according to the days of recording you want to keep, and we work that out beforehand.
