Ajax 16-channel NVR recorder, white

White 16-channel indoor NVR recorder, recording up to 4K, with access from the Ajax app

What it is and what it does

The white Ajax 16-channel NVR recorder collects up to sixteen cameras in a single unit. It accepts ONVIF and RTSP cameras, records up to 4K at 25/30 frames per second with H.265 or H.264, and shares up to 100 Mbps between the channels. It connects through RJ45 and can be viewed from the Ajax app. It does not include a disk; it takes one 3.5 inch SATA disk of up to 16 TB.

Who Dartel installs it for

This is the recorder for a large house or a business with several areas that need more than eight cameras. White makes sense if the unit will be on show, on a shelf or on a light piece of furniture. In a technical cabinet the colour does not matter; for that there is the black one, and for powering cameras over the cable itself, the PoE model.

How we install it

We recommend hiding it: if it can be seen from the entrance, it is the first thing to be taken. We place it indoors, inside a closed, ventilated cabinet, because it works between 0 °C and 40 °C. We connect the cameras by network cable, size the disk by actual recording days and add it to the app.

Frequently asked questions

How many cameras does it take?

Up to 16 channels, from Ajax or any brand compatible with ONVIF or RTSP. The total bandwidth is up to 100 Mbps, and that figure is taken into account when choosing the cameras.

How long does it store for?

It depends on the disk and on how you record. It takes a disk of up to 16 TB, not included, and recording on motion stretches the days. We work it out with figures before you buy it.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
