Ajax 8-channel NVR recorder, black

Black 8-channel indoor NVR recorder for dark cabinets and furniture, with access from the Ajax app

What it is and what it does

The black Ajax 8-channel NVR recorder stores the image from up to eight ONVIF or RTSP cameras, from Ajax or another brand. It records up to 4K at 25/30 frames per second with H.265 or H.264, on a schedule or when it detects motion, which is what stretches the number of days stored. It connects to the network through RJ45. It does not include a hard disk; it takes one 3.5 inch SATA disk of up to 16 TB.

Who Dartel installs it for

This is the recorder we leave in a communications cabinet, inside a dark piece of furniture or in a rack, where black goes unnoticed. It suits a home with a perimeter and several entrances. If the box will be on show against a light wall, there is the white one. It also fits the home of someone who already has an Ajax alarm.

How we install it

Because it works between 0 °C and 40 °C, we do not put it in an unventilated loft or in an outdoor box. We place it in the cabinet, connect the cameras by network cable, fit the disk and add it to the app. If you prefer, we leave it set up with your cameras.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use cameras I already have?

If they are ONVIF or RTSP, yes. We do not tie you to one brand, so we can combine the cameras you already have with new Ajax cameras.

How do we decide how much disk I need?

It depends on the number of days you want to keep and on the cameras. Recording on motion stretches that time compared with recording all day. We work it out for you before choosing the disk.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
