What it is and what it does
The white Ajax 8-channel NVR recorder collects the image from up to eight cameras and stores it on a disk. It accepts ONVIF and RTSP cameras, records up to 4K at 25/30 frames per second with H.265 or H.264, and shares up to 100 Mbps between the channels. It connects through RJ45. The hard disk is not included: it takes one 3.5 inch SATA disk of up to 16 TB.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it for customers who have, or are about to have, several cameras in a flat, a house or a business and want to see them in the same Ajax app as the alarm. White suits the unit if it will be on show, next to the router or on a shelf. It is part of our camera kits for a flat or terraced house and for a villa. If you plan to hide it, there is the black one.
How we install it
It is an indoor unit, so we place it next to the communications cabinet, somewhere ventilated and out of sight from the entrance. The cameras reach it by network cable. We fit the disk, add the recorder to the app and check that every camera is recording. Your existing cameras can be added too.

Frequently asked questions
Are the cameras in the same app as the alarm?
Yes: remote access is through the Ajax app. Cameras and alarm are viewed in the same place, without switching programs for each one.
Does it come with a hard disk?
No. It has room for one 3.5 inch SATA disk of up to 16 TB, chosen according to how many days of recording you want to keep. We work it out beforehand and leave it fitted.
