Dry-contact relay to open and close a circuit from the Ajax app: gate, garage door or large entrance gate, with a radio range of up to 1000 m
What it is and what it does
The Relay is a dry-contact relay: it supplies no power, it only closes and opens a circuit, like a finger pressing a button. That is why it can operate the push button of a gate or garage motor from the same app as the alarm. It is powered by 7 to 24 V DC, switches up to 5 A at 36 V DC or 13 A at 230 V AC, with a maximum of 3 kW, and talks to the hub over 868 MHz Jeweller radio, up to 1000 m in open space. It measures just 38 by 25 by 18 millimetres.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it for customers who want to open the garage door or the plot gate from their phone, in a house, a villa or premises with vehicle access. If what you need is to supply power to a light or a pump, the one for that is the WallSwitch. It can be added to any Ajax alarm that we install.
How we install it
It goes inside a box or the motor's control panel, indoors, never exposed to the weather. First we identify on the motor's board where the push button connects and what supply it has, because the wiring depends on that. Then we add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to the hub and test opening and closing with you present, setting permissions per user.

Will it work with any gate motor?
It works with those that accept a push button through a voltage-free contact, which is most of them. Tell us the make and model of your gate and we will confirm whether this relay or the mains-voltage one suits you.
Can anyone in the house open it?
Only whoever you authorise. The relay is operated from the Ajax system app with per-user permissions, so each person sees and uses only what we have set up for them.
