WallSwitch relay
Mains-voltage relay to switch on and off from the app whatever is connected behind it: outdoor light, pump or irrigation, up to 3 kW

What it is and what it does
The WallSwitch is the relay that does carry power. It connects to the 110 to 240 V mains and gives an output of up to 13 A and 3 kW, so it switches directly on and off the appliance behind it. It is recessed, so it takes up no socket and cannot be seen. It links to the hub over 868 MHz Jeweller radio, up to 1000 m in open space, and is operated from the system app. It measures 38 by 25 by 18 millimetres and weighs 32 grams.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it in homes with a garden light, a well pump or irrigation that you want to schedule or switch off from your phone. It is for indoors and detects nothing: it only connects and disconnects. If the aim is a door or a gate, look at the dry-contact Relay. It can be added to any Ajax alarm that we install.
How we install it
As it works with mains voltage, it is fitted by a professional: we do it ourselves. We house it in the switch box, in the consumer unit or in the appliance itself, with the power cut. Then we add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to your hub and check that it switches on and off what is connected. If the load is a pump or a motor, we first check it does not exceed what the relay accepts.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from a smart plug?
Where it lives. The WallSwitch is recessed in a box, in the consumer unit or in the appliance, and takes up no socket. If you prefer something that plugs in and can be seen, we suggest the Socket.
Can I connect a large pump?
It takes up to 13 A and 3 kW. That is enough for many light points and small motors. If your pump is borderline, tell us the model and we check the data before connecting anything.
Would you like us to install it?
Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
