What it is and what it does
The Socket is a smart plug that goes between the wall and the appliance. From the alarm app you switch on or off whatever is connected. It works at 230 V and takes up to 2.5 kW, with 11 A protected. It cuts out if the voltage leaves the range of 184 to 253 V and also monitors current and temperature, at 85 degrees. It is type F, the European Schuko, and talks to the hub over Jeweller radio, with no need for Wi-Fi.
Who Dartel installs it for
It is the option for anyone who does not want building work: a lamp that comes on when the house is empty, a fan, a small heater or the pool pump. White disappears on a light wall. It is for indoors and is not a sensor. For something recessed, look at the WallSwitch. It can be added to any Ajax alarm that we install.
How we install it
We plug it into the socket we agree with you and add it by reading its QR code in the app, assigning it to your hub. We check the radio signal from that point and test that it switches the appliance on and off. Before leaving it, we check the load: 2.5 kW is enough for a lamp, a fan or a small pump, not for an oven.

Can I plug in a heater?
Yes, if its consumption fits within the 2.5 kW it takes. Tell us the heater's power and we will confirm it. For bigger loads we suggest another solution, without forcing the plug.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
No. It talks to the Ajax hub over 868 MHz Jeweller radio and is operated from the same alarm app, with no separate app to install or network to configure.
