REX 2 signal repeater, black
Repeater for Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus that also passes on photos from camera detectors to the shed at the back or the guest house

What it is and what it does
The black REX 2 is the repeater that Dartel fits with current hubs. It repeats both Ajax protocols at 868 MHz: Jeweller for the alarms and Wings for the photos, so a camera detector located behind the repeater keeps sending images. It accepts up to five repeaters per hub, up to 100 devices with Hub 2 and 200 with Hub 2 Plus. It has an anti-opening tamper and a backup battery of up to 38 hours.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it in a house or villa with a shed, a separate garage or a guest house where the radio only just arrives. If we install a new alarm with a Hub 2, this is the repeater that applies. Black goes well with dark walls. For light walls there is the white REX 2, and anyone keeping an older Hub needs the REX.
How we install it
We fix it indoors near a socket, halfway between the hub and the shed, away from metal cabinets. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign the detectors at the bottom of the garden so that they talk through it, and check the signal and the arrival of a test photo before we leave.

Frequently asked questions
Does a camera detector behind the repeater still send photos?
Yes. The REX 2 repeats both Jeweller and Wings, the image channel. We check it during the installation by requesting a test photo from the detector in the shed.
How many repeaters fit in one alarm?
Up to five per Hub 2 or Hub 2 Plus. For a normal home one is usually enough; on a large plot with several buildings we raise it in the proposal.
Would you like us to install it?
Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
