Black radio repeater for Hub and Hub Plus hubs: it takes the signal to the basement or the storeroom without running a single cable
What it is and what it does
The black REX is a radio channel repeater for indoors. It acts as a bridge between the hub and those corners where the signal arrives weakly, such as a basement under a thick slab. It works only with Hub and Hub Plus with the Malevich 2.7.1 operating system or later. With Hub it accepts up to 99 connected devices and with Hub Plus up to 149. It is powered from 110 to 240 V and its 2 A·h Li-Ion backup battery lets it keep working without mains.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it in homes that already have a Hub or Hub Plus and have a basement, a storeroom or a wing of the house with poor coverage. Black is the better choice when the walls or joinery are dark and a white device would look like a stain. For light walls there is the white REX, and for Hub 2 hubs the REX 2.
How we install it
We place it on an interior wall, at a midpoint between the hub and the basement, next to a socket and away from consumer units and metal cabinets. We add it by QR code in the app, assign the weak detectors so that they go through it and check the signal on each one. If the result is not good, we move it before fixing it permanently.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect several repeaters to my Hub?
In a home one is normal. The limit given on the data sheet is in devices: 99 with Hub and 149 with Hub Plus. If your plot needs more than one repeater, we raise it in the proposal.
Do I need a new hub to use it?
No, if you already have a Hub or a Hub Plus. It is enough that its operating system is Malevich 2.7.1 or later; we check that ourselves in the app before installing it.
