TurretCam 5 MP camera, black

Black 5 MP TurretCam for indoors and outdoors: goes unnoticed on wood, stone or dark aluminium and records with 50 m infrared

What it is and what it does

The black TurretCam 5 MP is the same 5 megapixel (2880×1620) turret camera in a dark finish. It sees 100° to 110° and works at a maximum of 25 frames per second, with True WDR/HDR for backlighting. Its infrared reaches 50 m. It is IP65 and works from −25 °C to +40 °C, so it suits a porch or an indoor corridor. It has a microphone and a microSD slot of up to 256 GB.

Who Dartel installs it for

We recommend it when the camera goes on wood, stone, dark lacquered aluminium or a metal structure and must not stand out. In homes with light walls the white TurretCam 5 MP usually looks better. If you need white light at night, look at the black Dual Light; if faces have to be recognised at a greater distance, the black TurretCam 8 MP.

How we install it

We run a PoE network cable from the recorder or the switch to each camera, so no power has to be brought to the wall. We choose the height above ground: high enough that it cannot be reached and low enough to see the face and not the top of the head. We avoid the sun head-on, add the camera by QR code in the app and adjust the framing.

Frequently asked questions

Is it just as good indoors as outdoors?

Yes. It is IP65 and works from −25 °C to +40 °C, so it is mounted the same on a porch, in a garage or in an indoor corridor. What changes is where we place it, not the camera.

How many frames per second does it record?

Up to 25 per second at 5 megapixels, with H.265 or H.264 compression. It is smooth for seeing who comes in and what they do, and the recording takes up less disk than at a higher resolution.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
