TurretCam 8 MP camera, white

White 8 MP TurretCam for indoors and outdoors: 3840×2160 image to identify faces and number plates at entrances, with 50 m infrared

What it is and what it does

The white TurretCam 8 MP records at 3840×2160 pixels, more detail than a 5 megapixel one, and that lets you zoom in afterwards on a face or a number plate without it turning into a blur. It offers 20 frames per second, a 100° to 110° angle and True WDR/HDR. Its infrared reaches 50 m. It is IP65, has a microphone and accepts a microSD of up to 256 GB.

Who Dartel installs it for

It is the camera for points where you have to identify, not just check that something has happened: the front door, the gate or the garage access of a house or a shop. On a light eave or cornice it is the least visible. On dark walls there is the black one; if 5 megapixels are enough, the white TurretCam 5 MP.

How we install it

One PoE network cable per camera to the recorder or the switch, which also powers it. It weighs 496 g, so we anchor it to a firm surface. We place it high so it cannot be reached, but not so high that only the top of the head is seen, and we decide on site the distance to the door. We avoid the sun head-on and add it by QR code in the app.

Frequently asked questions

Will a number plate be readable with this camera?

It depends on the distance and the angle. With 2.8 mm optics the shot is wide: near the access there is a lot of detail, far away it is lost. We check it on site before fixing it.

Does it take up a lot of disk?

More than a 5 megapixel one, because each image carries more data. That is why in a system with several cameras we put it only where identification is needed, and the rest at 5 megapixels.

Would you like us to install it?

Tell us what kind of home or premises it is and we will say what you need and what you don't. For a flat or a shop with no building work, your floor plan and four photos are enough.
