What it is and what it does
The white TurretCam 8 MP 4 mm Dual Light is an 8 megapixel (3840×2160) outdoor camera with a 4 mm lens, covering 85° horizontally. It has 50 m infrared and 50 m white light, so at night it can record in black and white or in colour. It works from −30 °C to +60 °C, supports microSD of up to 256 GB and is powered by PoE.
Who Dartel installs it for
We install it in houses and country properties with a light façade, to watch the path, the vehicle entrance or the plot gate, with colour at night. If the point is close, the white TurretCam 8 MP Dual Light with 2.8 mm opens the shot wider. For dark walls, the black TurretCam 8 MP 4 mm, without white light.
How we install it
We run a PoE network cable from the recorder or the switch to the camera; no socket on the wall. We give it a height that leaves the face in view but out of reach, pointed to where people arrive and not towards the sun head-on. We add it by QR code in the app and check the effect of the white light at night.

What advantage does colour at night give?
The 50 m white light lets you see clothing and colours, which infrared does not show. It is useful for describing someone or a vehicle. With infrared, the image is in black and white.
Can I see it on my mobile?
Yes. It is an Ajax IP camera and is seen in the same app as the alarm, when it is connected to the recorder or to your network. We leave it set up so that you can open it from your mobile.
