What it is and what it does
The black TurretCam 8 MP Dual Light records at 8 megapixels (3840×2160) and offers two night modes: 50 m infrared, in black and white, or 50 m white light, in colour. Its angle is 110° horizontally. The artificial intelligence recognises people, pets and vehicles. It has True WDR/HDR, a microphone, microSD of up to 256 GB and mTLS encryption, with a range of −30 °C to +60 °C.
Who Dartel installs it for
Designed for industrial units, garages, pergolas and dark façades where you want to identify whoever arrives and see in colour at night without the camera standing out. On a light wall, the white Dual Light. For more reach, the white TurretCam 8 MP 4 mm Dual Light; and if you do not need white light, the black TurretCam 8 MP.
How we install it
We install one PoE network cable per camera to the recorder or the switch, which powers it and collects the video. On site we decide the height and distance to the door, so that the face is in frame without the camera being reachable, and we keep it away from the sun head-on. We add it by QR code in the app and test the night light.

Is it worth it compared with the 5 MP?
If someone has to be identified at that point, yes: it has more pixels to zoom in on. For watching a patio or a corridor, the 5 megapixel one is usually enough and takes up less disk.
Does it record without an internet connection?
Yes, the recording goes over the local network to the recorder, or to the camera's own microSD of up to 256 GB. The internet is only needed to view it from outside the home with your mobile.
