What it is and what it does
The one-inch WaterStop is the Ajax solenoid valve for the main pipe: it has a 1 inch (DN 25) Bonomi valve and is suitable for water and heating. It communicates with the hub over 868 MHz Jeweller radio, is powered by four CR123A batteries or by an external 7.5 to 14 V supply, and warns of overheating if it exceeds 60 degrees. It is an indoor unit weighing 1336 grams.
Who Dartel installs it for
We fit it in homes, villas and premises where, in the event of a leak, you want to shut off the water to the whole property before it reaches the flat below or the neighbouring unit. If you only want to protect a bathroom or a washing machine, look at the half-inch WaterStop. It can be added to any Ajax alarm that we install.
How we install it
It is fitted into the incoming pipe, so it is plumbing work, not a plug-in accessory. We choose the spot with you, indoors and accessible. We add it by reading its QR code in the app, assign it to your hub and test the shut-off from the app. We combine it with LeaksProtect water leak detectors placed in the wet areas.
